Mean Girls Jr.

Welcome to North Shore High — where fitting in is complicated, friendships are messy, and everybody is trying to figure out where they belong.

In this full-production musical theatre experience, young performers will take on the hilarious, high-energy world of Mean Girls JR. while developing skills in acting, singing, dance, character development, and ensemble storytelling.

Students will work with The Standard’s teaching artists through the complete rehearsal process, building confidence, strengthening performance technique, and learning the discipline, collaboration, and commitment required to bring a musical from the rehearsal room to the stage.

With memorable characters, big ensemble numbers, plenty of comedy, and opportunities for performers of all types, Mean Girls JR. is a great fit for both experienced performers and students ready to take their next step onstage.

At its heart, the show explores friendship, identity, kindness, and the pressure to fit in — with an important reminder that being yourself is always better than trying to be somebody else.

The program culminates in fully staged performances for family, friends, and the community.
