Community & Access Programs
At The Standard Theatre Company, we believe theatre should be accessible to everyone. Our community programs are designed to expand access to arts education, create opportunities for young artists, and ensure that more people in our region can experience the power of live performance.
As a new organization, we are committed to building meaningful partnerships with schools, families, community organizations, and local artists to make theater training and performance opportunities more widely available.
Arts Education Partnerships
The Standard works with local schools, educators, and youth organizations to provide workshops, classes, and performance opportunities that introduce students to theatre and creative expression. These programs are designed to support arts education, build confidence, and encourage collaboration among young people.
Student Matinees & School Engagement
We are developing student matinee performances and educational programming that allow students to experience live theatre in an engaging and accessible way. These experiences are often paired with classroom workshops or post-show discussions to deepen students’ understanding of storytelling and performance.
Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
The Standard is committed to making high-quality theatre training accessible. As the organization grows, we will expand scholarship and tuition assistance programs to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent students from participating in our educational programs.
Emerging Artist Opportunities
Through workshops, readings, and training programs, The Standard creates opportunities for emerging artists to develop their craft, collaborate with professional mentors, and gain practical experience in the rehearsal room and on stage.
Community Engagement
We believe theatre should be a gathering place for the community. Through performances, events, and collaborative partnerships with local organizations, The Standard aims to create welcoming spaces where audiences and artists come together to share stories and celebrate creativity.
