Mandy Bruno Bogue is a theatre artist, educator, director, and producer, and the Founder and Artistic Director of The Standard Theatre Company. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Otterbein University, with a concentration in dance.
Mandy began performing at the age of six after being enrolled in a community theatre class to help a shy child “come out of her shell.” She was cast as the lead in that company’s holiday production and has been devoted to the stage ever since.
By the age of fifteen, Mandy began working professionally in regional theatre across the country. During her senior year of college, she was cast on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light, a performance that earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
Her Broadway credits include Les Misérables (Éponine) and Gypsy (understudy Louise). National tour credits include The Sound of Music (Maria). Regionally, Mandy has appeared in productions across the United States, including starring as Belle in Beauty and the Beast for Pittsburgh CLO and receiving a Carbonell Award nomination for her portrayal of Marian in The Music Man at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.
In television and film, Mandy’s work includes roles on Guiding Light and Blue Bloods, along with several independent films. She is also a writer and producer, having created multiple independent film projects including Rock Story, which received the Best Writing Award at the Northeast Film Festival.
Alongside her performance career, Mandy has devoted more than two decades to arts education and mentorship, directing and teaching performers from early childhood through adulthood. She has directed over 60 theatrical productions and has held leadership roles including Artistic Director and Director of Arts Education for several regional theatre organizations. She most recently served as Director of Arts Education and Programming and Artistic Director at Imagine Performing Arts Fund, where she oversaw arts-integrated preschool, youth, and multi-generational theatre programming.
Through The Standard Theatre Company, Mandy is committed to building a vibrant professional and educational theatre organization dedicated to artistic excellence, community access, and the next generation of performers.
