
Jeremy Kemmerer
Jeremy J. Kemmerer holds an MFA in Theatre Education and is a director, music director, and actor whose work spans high school, university, community, and professional theatre. Known for his dynamic storytelling and deep musicality, Jeremy brings a collaborative and actor-centered approach to every production he leads.
As a performer, Jeremy has appeared regionally with the Scranton Shakespeare Festival as part of its 2021 repertory company, portraying Father in Ragtime and performing in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet. Additional acting credits include Macbeth (Macbeth), Benedick (Much Ado About Nothing), Friar Lawrence (Romeo and Juliet), Man in Chair (The Drowsy Chaperone), Christopher Wren (The Mousetrap), and Edmund in the NEPA premiere of Drowning Ophelia by Rachel Luann Strayer.
Jeremy’s directing work includes The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Comedy of Errors, 12 Angry Men, The Sound of Music, The Curious Savage, Clue: On Stage, Annie, The Diary of Anne Frank, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and Our Town, with an upcoming production of Chicago: High School Edition. As a music director, he has led productions including You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Little Women, Jane Eyre, Something’s Afoot, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and productions of Alice by Heart, Godspell, and Ride the Cyclone.
At The Standard, Jeremy serves as a founding creative leader, directing and music directing productions while helping shape the company’s artistic programming and mentoring emerging performers and musicians.
