
Hollie Major Baker
Hollie Major Baker is a music director, educator, and arts leader with extensive experience in choral and theatrical performance. She currently serves as a music teacher in the Dallas School District, where she directs four choirs and leads the Drama Club, working with hundreds of students each year and fostering a strong culture of musical and theatrical excellence.
Hollie is an active leader within the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), serving as a voting member of the District 9 board, Professional Development Chair, and Chorus Fest Coordinator. Through this work, she plays a key role in supporting music educators and advancing arts education across the region.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Wilkes University, a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Temple University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University, along with certification in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University.
Over the course of her career, Hollie has music directed more than 250 productions across a wide range of schools and organizations, including Dallas, Nanticoke, Wilkes-Barre, Tunkhannock, Lackawanna Trail, Ovation Playhouse, Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, The Music Box Playhouse, PTPA, and numerous others. Her work is recognized for its musical precision, strong vocal training, and commitment to storytelling through music.
In addition to her work as an educator and music director, Hollie has performed professionally in Philadelphia, New York, Princeton, and internationally throughout Italy.
Hollie is passionate about developing confident, well-trained performers and is dedicated to creating meaningful artistic experiences for both students and audiences. She is proud to be part of The Standard Theatre Company, contributing her expertise in music direction and vocal performance to support the company’s commitment to excellence.
